Therapies and Transition Practitioner

The Social, Therapies and Resource (STaR) Team provide a wide range of professional support to children and young people, their families and the wider care team. From psychotherapy and bereavement support to sibling groups and school holiday activities, the team provide a crucial service to families in east London.

We are looking for a talented professional with a background and qualification in counselling, psychotherapy or equivalent to take a leading role in the STaR Team. Working with the STaR Team Manager and the Director of Care, the successful candidate will be responsible for the development and running of Richard House’s caseload of therapeutic care for children and their families and children-to-adult care transition service. You will also be responsible for developing a model of bereavement support for the hospice.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with transition-age young people, excellent communication skills and a proven ability to manage varied and busy workloads.
