Trusts and foundations
The support we receive from trusts, foundations and statutory organisations is instrumental in allowing us to carry out immediate and long-term services.
At Richard House we offer holistic support, services and activities to the whole family, including:
- Direct care – specialist short breaks and end-of-life care
- Bereavement support
- Step-down care from hospital to home
- Transition care from childhood to adulthood
- Art, music and play therapies
- Family support including sibling and parent groups, events and trips
For more information, or to arrange a tour of Richard House to see the work we deliver first hand, please email Sam or call 0207 540 0227.
We have a number of trusts who generously support Richard House.
Examples of Richard House funders
BBC Children in Need
Richard House have received a grant from Children in Need to fund the cost of a Palliative Care Nurse for a three-year period. This allows us to deliver direct care to children who visit the hospice, whether for a day, overnight or multiple night’s stay.
Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Charity
Wallace & Gromit have been long term supporters of the work that Richard House carries out, helping us to deliver our therapeutic play activities to children at the hospice.
City Bridge Trust
We have received support over the last three years for our Transition Services Programme. This has allowed us to deliver vital services for the specialist needs of young adults during their transition from child to adult palliative care.
The Pears Foundation have not only supported our residential area refurbishment, but also our scaled-up Joint Transition Services Programme in partnership with adult services at St Joseph’s Hospice.
Metropolitan Masonic Charity
In 2014 the Metropolitan Masonic Charity supported the refurbishment of the Richard House residential
area, a key programme to which aimed to improve our facilities. They are also providing funding for the delivery of vital respite and palliative care for children and families.
