Richard House Urgent Appeal
We are incredibly lucky to have our patrons, Imelda Staunton CBE and Jim Carter OBE offer their time to provide the voice overs for an amazing animation created about Richard House.
"Richard House offers a sanctuary to so many vulnerable children and their families and I have been privileged and excited to see it flourish in the years that I have been a Patron. Richard House is often filled with joy and laughter. It offers expert practical support and helps build precious memories for children with life-limited expectancy" Jim Carter OBEDonate to the Urgent Appeal now
Richard House has stayed open due the incredible support we have received over the past 5 months, including a Government grant through Hospice UK. Despite all of this, the next 8 months are going to be tough, and we anticipate we will have a shortfall of income in the realm of £700,000. So to help alleviate this we have launched the next phase of our urgent appeal.
“Richard House does invaluable work for children with life limiting conditions and their families. I am proud to have been able to support this wonderful organisation for more than 15 years in my capacity as Patron. The threat of COVID-19, and its impact on fundraising in particular, means that Richard House need support now more than ever. Please join me in supporting Richard House.” Imelda Staunton CBE
A group lead by Jen Lane and Simon Amster offered us their time in creating this animation for us, probono, and you can read more information about this on our website <link to be added to press release>
2020 will be a year that goes down in history; a year where a pandemic changed the way we live and breathe; a year where Richard House Children’s Hospice should have been celebrating 20 years of caring for life-limited children and supporting their families. But instead we have had to make changes and adapt quickly making sure we are and continue to be always ready to support the most vulnerable children in our community.
We would like to ask you to consider supporting our urgent appeal once more, as you support remains vital and important to Richard House still being here at the end of the recession.
