Abseil Takes Fundraising to New Heights!
September 16, 2019On Saturday over 35 people took on the challenge of abseiling down Broadgate Tower - one of London’s tallest structures at 540 feet. All to raise money for Richard House Children’s Hospice who support children and their families from East London and into Essex to lead as positive and happy a life as possible when dealing with a life-limiting illness.

What a Volunteers' Week!
June 7, 2019Thirty volunteers attended afternoon tea put on by the staff at Richard House as they thanked their volunteers for their commitment and hard work. Volunteers came in from two local Marks and Spencer’s stores and renovated the family and staff area so that Richard House Children’s Hospice had a clean bright space to hold their Volunteers Celebration this Volunteers Week.

Generous East London mosque followers raise almost £3,000 during Ramadan
June 5, 2019Al Madina Mosque has raised £2,966.29 from its members at Friday prayers to help fund the work of Richard House Children’s Hospice and facilitated an awareness raising campaign throughout the month of Ramadan. The Barking mosque has a number of wide ranging services that it runs in the local community. Ash Siddique, Secretary at the mosque, says that helping to raise awareness of this kind of service in the area is incredibly important.

Myles swings into people's hearts at Chelsea Flower Show
May 22, 2019Myles had a fabulous day with mum, Myra and dad, Jerry, visiting the Greenfingers Garden at the Chelsea Flower Show. Many elements of the garden will be relocated to Richard House, including the ‘apple swing’ which Myles adored playing on, as did his dad and many of the adults!
