Summerfest – a great success!
Published: August 31, 2016
Last weekend Richard House was buzzing with excitement, as people from the local community as well as children and families who use the services of the hospice enjoyed its annual community fun day ‘Summerfest’.
There was plenty of entertainment for both young and old to enjoy, including drama workshops, a bouncy castle, face painting, arts and crafts, food, music, a fancy dress photo booth as well as performances by Citi, Singology and Sounds of Liberty choirs.
Summerfest, the hospice’s summer festival, has been held since 2009, and this year’s event saw the hospice open its doors to an even wider community than previous years, raising a brilliant £1,700!
A big thank you to all our staff and volunteers who made the day possible and so very special!
And also a very big thank you to The Liberty Church, National Rail, HAPPY Kinder Parties, RAOB, Alamanda Therapy Animals, Red Cross, Kuldip Sura, Half Moon Young People’s Theatre, Citi choir, Singology Gospel Choir, Laura Nadia Hunt, Heart & Soul, Oceane face painting and the Mayor, we couldn’t have done it without you!
