Runners meet at the hospice for a pre-marathon feast

The runners taking on the 2016 Virgin London Marathon in aid of Richard House, visited the hospice last week to meet fellow runners, learn more about the hospice and enjoy a dinner to thank them for their fantastic fundraising efforts.

Anthea Hare, the hospice founder, attended the dinner and thanked the team on behalf of the organisation. The Grandfather of one of our service users was also kind enough to speak about his experience of Richard House and the support his family have received.

The guests had a chance to share training and fundraising tips while enjoying an Italian feast and a glass of wine!

Rachel Green, Community and Events Fundraiser at Richard House said: “It was great to have an opportunity to show our gratitude to all our London Marathon runners, and show them the impact of their fantastic efforts for the children and families at Richard House. We’re all looking forward to seeing them on the day!”

The London Marathon takes place on Sunday 24 April. If you’d like to take part in next year’s event or another run for Richard House, contact Rachel on 020 7540 0230.
