Runners meet at the hospice for a pre-marathon feast
Published: March 24, 2017
20 runners taking on the 2017 Virgin London Marathon, in aid of Richard House, visited the hospice this week to meet fellow runners, learn more about the hospice and enjoy a dinner to thank them for their fantastic fundraising efforts.
Anthea Hare, the hospice founder, attended the dinner and thanked the team on behalf of the organisation. The mother of one of our service users was also kind enough to speak about her experiences at Richard House and the support her family have received.
The guests had a chance to share training and fundraising tips while enjoying an Italian feast and a glass of wine!
Rachel Green, Community and Events Fundraiser at Richard House said: “It was fantastic to have the chance to introduce all our runners to each other and let them share their experiences. The Pasta Party is a lovely way to show our London Marathon team what a difference their fundraising efforts will make here at Richard House, and to say thank you for their support as Marathon day draws closer.”
The London Marathon takes place on Sunday 23 April. If you’d like to take part in next year’s event or another run for Richard House, contact Rachel on 020 7540 0230.
