‘Remember A Charity in Your Will Week’ 2016
Published: September 12, 2016
Today marks the start of ‘Remember A Charity in Your Will Week’ – encouraging people to consider leaving a charitable gift in their will, once they’ve looked after their family and friends. The week will run from 12-18 September and with the theme this year being ‘Pass on something legendary’, it will focus on all the different things we as individuals are able to pass on to our favorite charities.
Legacies are a vital source of income for Richard House. Each gift in a will, however large or small, helps to secure our future to help the children and families who need our services.
Just last month Richard House launched a new legacy campaign encouraging supporters to remember Richard House in their will. Everyone who lets us know that they have left us a gift in their will gets invited to an annual legator tea, receives a legator newsletter, and has their name written in our legator book when their gift is received. Thanks to the support of local solicitors we are also offering a free will writing/amending service to anyone who leaves a gift to Richard House.
Making a will is the best way to ensure that your wishes are carried out after your death and that your property, money and possessions go to the people and organisations that are important to you. It is also a great way to show your support for Richard House if you are not able to donate at this time.
