Relaxing start to 2015 for mums’ group
Published: January 23, 2015
Our Mums4mums support group kicked off their first meeting for the year with a yoga session here at Richard House.
Cryn, a qualified yoga expert was on hand to run a special session for the group, which is for mothers of children and young adults with life-limiting or life-threatening health conditions.
The group, which meets monthly, is one of several support groups at Richard House. Through Mums4Mums, members meet others in similar circumstances and talk about their thoughts and feelings in a supportive, non-judgemental environment.
Shahina Haque, family support services manager, said: “The mothers at the group are so supportive and welcoming of each other and it is a really understanding environment. The yoga session was enjoyed by all and it was a lovely way to start the year.”
The group is looking forward to their next two meetings, with a session with Half Moon Theatre in February and a pamper evening lined up for March.
