Peter Ellis elected treasurer of Public Health and Palliative Care International
Published: July 9, 2015
Our chief executive Peter Ellis has been elected treasurer and a Council member of Public Health and Palliative Care International (PHPCI).
The membership body was formed in 2013 to communicate the importance of public health ideas and approaches in palliative care at a global level.
Peter commented: “I am so excited to have been elected to the council of this newly formed group. The approach espoused by PHPCI fits exactly with how Richard House sees the future of palliative care. This will include how we could support children, young people and their families by inviting people and the wider community to get involved – death, dying, loss and grief is everyone’s business and by enabling people to take up their role, we will build capacity in support of children and their families, as well as enriching the society in which we live.”
