Good luck to the Richard House London Marathon runners

Published: April 24, 2015

For the 28 runners taking on the 26.2 miles for the hospice, months and months of training is almost at an end as they line up for London Marathon this Sunday. Every runner has their own story, and here are just a handful:

Emma Roebuck, who just days after running the Manchester Marathon for us, will be doing it all again in the capital.

Couple James McMullen and Sasha Wheeler who have set a romantic date this Sunday morning!

Our 72 year old volunteer gardener Derek James who will be running his third consecutive marathon for us.

Local football team and supporters Custom House FC’s captain Bobby Wooster.

Rob Motherwell, whose creative fundraising for the Marathon has included organising a pub quiz and a “Guess my finish time” competition.

Sgt Charlie Routley Neighbourhood Sergeant for Harold Wood in Havering who will be taking time off the beat to run for us.

Barclays collegues and friends Patrick Green, Adam Bealey and Tim Glennon.

There are too many stories to list here, but we wish every single one of the Richard House runners at the London Marathon the best of luck, and look out for us cheering for you at mile 14!
