While Europe was winning the Ryder cup, keen golfers John Peter and Simon McCarthy raised £1500 for Richard House Children’s Hospice through the Metropolitan Grand Lodge and Chapter of London Golf Day Held at Silvermere Golf & Country Club Weybridge Surrey.
John Peters is a Metropolitan Grand Inspector representing the Metropolitan Grand Lodge & Chapter of London and Simon McCarthy is former Captain of the Metropolitan Grand Lodge Golf Society. A key part of the Masonic structure is to raise funds for Charities both Masonic and Non Masonic therefore endeavoring to make a difference in the community.
Richard House Children’s Hospice is a fantastic charity that gets right to the heart of the community needs offering respite to so many children and their families in very difficult circumstances.
“The people there are so dedicated in what they do and carry out their work in a most compassionate and skilful manner at the same time offering a light hearted but motivational approach which is appreciated by the life-limited children, their families, fundraisers and volunteers alike.”
Shahz Hussain, Community manager at Richard House said:
We rely heavily on the generosity of donors to carry out our vital work with seriously ill children and their families, so we genuinely appreciate the support of John, Simon and all of those who took part from the Metropolitan Grand Lodge & Chapter of London for their continued support.
