Get fit for summer – buy a bike!

Thinking of getting fit for the summer then why not buy a bike from the Richard House Children’s Hospice shop on Faircross Parade, Barking?

Richard House is working with a social enterprise Recycle your Cycle that has links with prison services across the country.  Prisoners receive training to service and re-furbish formerly loved cycles.

This means each re-furbished bike sold through the Richard House shop in Barking is sold on safely in roadworthy condition and with a six month warranty.

Veronica the shop manager said ‘The trial scheme has been running since early February and with adult cycle prices starting at just £60 they have been very popular with our regular customers.

Richard House has six charity shops across East London and Essex, with all money raised going directly to the hospice. These vital funds ensure Richard House is able to provide care year-on-year for children with life-limiting conditions and support for their families.

The Richard House Barking shop is the only one that sells bicycles but all the other shops sell a wide range of donated goods and will have some great offers on over the Easter holidays so well worth a visit for an Easter bargain.  Richard House shops trade Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm but will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday.
