Congratulations, Hope and John!

Meet Hope, a bright and bubbly, cheerful four year old. Hope has a rare life-limiting illness. She enjoys painting, singing and spending time with her grandfather John, who is her full-time carer.
We’re delighted that Hope and John were given a Special Recognition Award at the London Children of Courage Awards on 3 May.
Hope and John were nominated by Together for Short Lives as they show that having a life-limiting prognosis doesn’t mean your enjoyment should be limited. They have achieved so much and are an absolute inspiration!
We asked John to tell us more about what Hope enjoys doing, and what she most looks forward to. John said,
“Hope loves playing, getting around in her walker and going to school. She loves to play hide and seek. Hope wants to go out and about, to the park and the seaside as she loves the sea-life aquarium. She loves to sing in the car to the radio!”
A huge congratulations to Hope and John from all at Richard House! Very well deserved!
