A mountain of support for Richard House

On the 7th of July, 29-year old City worker Nick will be climbing the Kilimanjaro to live the adventure of his life and raise the much needed funds for Richard House.

It was rugby that first exposed Nick to the hospice as his team East London RFC often held fundraisers to support the work of Richard House.

At first Nick was planning to attempt the trek with a group of friends, but when no one else signed up, he decided to do it on his own. Alone he will be climbing the Lemosho route, which will take 7 days to complete.

When asked why he decided to take on the adventure, Nick says “At first climbing the Kilimanjaro was going to be a personal challenge but after giving it some thought I decided that it would also be an ideal opportunity to raise funds for a charity and Richard House was the only cause I would have considered.”
