Christmas comes to Richard House

Last weekend Richard House saw the first of its Christmas parties with children, young people and their families joining us for a celebration of the upcoming festive season.

There was lots of fun to be had for young and old alike – face painting, Christmas card-making, some delightful Christmas harmonies and we even got to visit Santa in his grotto! The icing on the cake, though, was that we got to meet none other than Minnie Mouse!

One of the young adults in our care Murad (pictured) also came to enjoy the festivities, his mum Gowhar said: “We’ve been coming to Richard House Christmas parties for 15 years now and it’s always a great pleasure! There is such a festive atmosphere and it’s an opportunity for us to socialise with other families and for Murad to catch up with his friends. We treasure the opportunity to spend time together as a family in an environment where Murad feels safe and happy.”
