Volunteering, abseiling, running and cycling – thank you Carey Group!
Published: July 19, 2018
A big thank you to the Dagenham team at The Carey Group for their wonderful and continued support for Richard House. The team has been supporting us for the last 14 months.
In their own time…
Staff give up their own time to help carry out repairs to our grounds. They have recently paved our car park and supported us with heavy manual work.
Kathryn Elvin, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Richard House, said,
We’re very grateful to the team for giving up their Saturdays to come and work on the grounds here at the hospice. The team receive absolutely no perks for doing this – this is volunteering in its truest sense!
Challenges, challenges and more challenges!
The team also takes part in many challenge events to raise money to help care for life-limited children and their families at Richard House. They’ve already taken the plunge by abseiling down one of London’s tallest buildings and pounded the pavements by taking part in runs. On 29th July they will be getting on their bikes and pedalling through the city at Ride London.
We are delighted that the team are taking on another challenge for our hospice. On behalf of all staff, children and families, I would like to wish them the very best of luck for their latest challenge!
