Baker McKenzie re-select Richard House as their local charity of the year

Published: July 26, 2018

Leading city law firm, Baker McKenzie, has re-selected Richard House Children’s Hospice as their local charity of the year. The new partnership will run from July 2018 to June 2020.

Over the years, fundraising and support from Baker McKenzie has taken many different forms, from our unique Boss in a Box challenge to creative employee fundraising, such as “Baker McKenzie’s got Talent”! One of last year’s highlights saw a courageous team of employees taking on the hospice’s annual Broadgate Tower abseil challenge to raise a fantastic sum to help children with life-limiting conditions.

Kathryn Elvin, Corporate Partnerships Manager, at the hospice, said,

We would like to thank the staff at Baker McKenzie who voted for Richard House; their loyal support and dedication means so much to staff, children and families at the hospice.

Baker McKenzie offer a perfect example of how Richard House aims to grow and maintain long-lasting partnerships with our corporate donors, with the firm standing as one of our longest supporters. Having first donated to Richard House in 2001, just one year after our hospice building opened its doors, Baker McKenzie has since increased their level of involvement to choosing Richard House as their charity of the year across recent years.

Each year, Baker McKenzie has also remained dedicated to supporting us through Corporate Society Donations. This has been invaluable in helping us to offer a range of services and activities to our families and children.

Kathryn said,

We are delighted to be continuing our partnership for the next two years. Thank you so much to all and we look forward to the new partnership with plenty of new ideas and fundraising initiatives to make this charity of the year the best yet!
