West Ham United raise support for Richard House

West Ham United used last Saturday’s Premier League match against Crystal Palace to raise awareness and funds for Richard House.

West Ham United players wore t-shirts supporting the charity and encouraged donations as they warmed up, furthermore there were plenty of opportunities to learn more about the hospice and donate via text message throughout the match.

Two young children, Ishmael and Ibrahim, who use the services of the hospice were invited to be team mascots on the day. Much to their delight, they walked out to the pitch hand in hand with West Ham United captain Mark Noble who is also a Patron of the hospice.

Ishmael’s mum Iman says: “It was such an emotional and beautiful day that my family and I will never forget. The West Ham team made us feel really welcome and they continuously went above and beyond our expectations to make sure that we were always enjoying ourselves and Ishmael was comfortable.”

There are plenty of ways to support Richard House. You can donate £5.00 to Richard House by texting RHCH02 £5 to 70070, or take part in a Swimathon event next month at the London Aquatics Centre next door to London Stadium. Find out more at www.richardhouse.org.uk/event/swimathon2017
