28 London Marathon running stars
Published: April 27, 2015
A huge thank you to every one of the 28 runners who took on the London Marathon for Richard House yesterday. Here are just a few of their stories…
Emma Roebuck, who ran the London Marathon just one week after taking on the Manchester Marathon for us.
Couple James McMullen and Sasha Wheeler who had a 26 mile romantic date!
Our 72 year-old volunteer gardener Derek James who ran his third consecutive marathon for us.
Local football team and supporters Custom House FC’s captain Bobby Wooster, who celebrated his 35th birthday by running his first ever marathon!
Rob Motherwell, whose creative fundraising for the Marathon included organising a pub quiz and a “Guess my finish time” competition.
Sgt Charlie Routley Neighbourhood Sergeant for Harold Wood in Havering who took time off the beat to run for the hospice.
Barclays collegues and friends Patrick Green, Adam Bealey and Tim Glennon…
There are too many stories to list here, but we thank you to every single one of the Richard House runners at the London Marathon! We hope you are all putting their feet up today and having a well deserved rest!
