Meet Beverley

Palliative Care Nurse

pink-heart

I live in Brentwood with my husband, in my spare time I run a weekly late night coffee house, go to church, catch up with friends and eat like a horse!

I qualified as a Paediatric Nurse in 2015 and started off my career at Basildon Hospital in Essex. I then moved to Little Havens Children’s Hospice for a few months. After this I took some time out of nursing and worked in a pre-school and as a Home Care Worker for local agencies. I then decided I wanted to get back into nursing and applied for Richard House!

I like working one to one with the children here as I am able to give them the individualised time, care and compassion that you aren’t often able to give in other nursing environments. It’s a privilege to be part of a family’s journey during the most difficult of circumstances.

I’ve wanted to be a Paediatric Nurse since my early teens and have always enjoyed caring for people and the reward it brings. It can be difficult at times but the pros always out way the cons!
