Film and editing volunteer

What’s the role?

We are looking for an experienced film maker and editor to volunteer with Richard House on an ad hoc basis. The right candidate will have proven experience in both taking high quality video footage and editing it into bite-sized films to be used in different ways but mostly online. You will have the chance to create a range of videos, for example about our fundraising events, about volunteering and about the families who use our services. Rest assured that work that you produce will help raise awareness of and money for our charity.

What skills do I need?

You need to be experienced in filming and editing. We ask all applicants to submit a portfolio or examples of videos that have been produced. As you will work closely with staff, volunteers and families it is essential that you are personable and approachable.

You will be creative and will have the chance to come up with new ideas, yet you will also be happy to follow precise instructions.

How much time will it take?

This will depend on many factors but could be between one and four hours a week. Some work could be done externally or at home.
