We are looking for a Volunteer Gardener to help maintain the gardens and outside areas of Richard House for our children and families to enjoy.

What’s the role? 

We are looking for a Volunteer Gardener to help maintain the gardens and outside areas of Richard House for our children and families to enjoy.  

You will be involved in:

  •  Tidying the grounds
  • Planting new flowers
  • Cutting back, weeding and clearing
  • Keeping the garden paths accessible

What skills do I need?

You will have excellent communication skills, be people centred. We are looking for someone who is reliable, able to organise and prioritise their own workload work load and maintain a safe working environment.

How much time will it take? 

You can choose from:

  • 1 morning/afternoon a week
  • 1 morning/afternoon a fortnight
  • 1 morning/afternoon

You have the opportunity to enjoy spending time outside in our gardens and the flexibility to choose how much time you want to spend volunteering (see above).

We will provide you with health and safety and child protection training. You will receive ongoing support from our volunteer co-ordinator and be part of a friendly committed team at Richard House.
