April 17, 2020 - March 31, 2021
It’s our 20th Birthday and we’re going virtual!
During the period of nationwide lock down and physical distancing, Richard House invites you to spend 20 hours (for our 20th year) doing a singular physical activity you wouldn’t normally do, to help raise vital funds that could help provide a lifeline to seriously ill children and their families delivering care at a time of national crisis.
The 20 hours can be done individually, or as a family, and can be spread out over a week, month, 6 weeks. Why not try running, jumping jacks, yoga, cycling or press ups? The choice is yours! Go hard, and stay at home!
How much do I need to raise to take part?
We are NOT asking for a minimum fundraising amount as every donation, no matter how small, helps! However, did you know that just £82 could provide an hour of care to a seriously ill child? We have prizes related to the amount of care hours you are able to raise;
- 1 hour of care (£82) – digital certificate
- 2 hours (£164) – physical medal
- 10 hours (£820) – 20% off any 2020 challenge event & ½ fundraising target*
- 20 hours (£1640) – FREE place in a 2020 challenge event and NO sponsorship target*
* excludes London marathon
Climb Everest – A 12 week challenge perfect for isolation. Challengers will have to complete a climb equivalent to Mount Everest (8,848m) either out and about on their daily exercise, climbing the stairs indoors, or a combination of the two!
Inca Trail – A virtual challenge to tick off the bucket list. A 25 mile run, walk or jog to be completed in as many efforts as the challenger can manage.
Team Gotham – Not all Superheros wear capes….some have to fight crime in isolation too! This is a 5k challenge, so perfect for families who want to complete it together, or anyone looking to stay fit during lockdown.
The Big Charity Run – The ultimate challenge; challenges pick a 30, 60, 90 or 120 mile distance to complete over a single month. They can run, walk or cycle so perfect for setting an ambitious target and staying motivated!
Location Specific Races – Many will want to take on a challenge that is as close to a road race as physically possible, so there are a number of location specific races included so people can take part in a race on a specific date.
