About us

Kevin Shabani, Ayesha and Abdullah AmeratWe provide care and support to children and young people who are at risk of death because of a life-limiting or life-threatening health condition.

What we do

We deliver clinical care, short breaks and other residential services to children and young adults, while supporting their families through things like counselling and bereavement support. With a focus on living for today, we also offer a fun activities for all the family to enjoy.

Our hospice

Our purpose-built hospice is in Beckton, East London and we accept referrals from families across the capital with the majority living in Newham, City and Hackney and Tower Hamlets. When we opened in 2000, we were the first children’s hospice in London and we cared for just a handful of children and young people. Today, we have more than 300 on our books.

Our services are free of charge to families and the majority of our funding is thanks to the generosity of the public. This year we need to raise around £2m in voluntary donations. In addition to this we receive a third of our income through statutory funding.
